Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -

you already had a tax alowance of 6475 per annum
at 65 the allowance increases to 9,490 per annum for total income up to 22,900
after that the age allowance decreases by £1 for every £2 of income until it falls to 64750 -
On the assumption you are talking about tax relief and not personal allowances (which are covered above)......
You can get tax relief right up until age 75 (and the proposals coming in for next year should see tax relief continue beyond age 75.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Hi
Further to dunstonh's post, i too assume you are talking about tax relief on pensions.
He is right, subject to any new regulations which may come in force over the next few months, you can stil get tax relief on pension contributions as a 65 year old. You can make contributions and get tax relief up to an amount equal to your earnings.
If you have no earnings from memory you could make a £2,800 pension contribution and still get tax relief taking the gross contribution to £3,600.
I hope this helps.
