bank card help please!

So last night i realised my debit card expires tomorrow 10/10, and i haven't had any replacement through yet!
I went into the bank today and asked about this, the woman checked the system and it has been ordered but not been processed yet, and not due to be processed for another 2 weeks at least!!
I really don't know what to do, as i have direct debits due to come out on the 2nd and 3rd, which they only have my card details for. Will these not be paid?
Also i have a £15 payment to be made on the 7th to a debt i'm paying off, but i won't have any card to pay it with.
Anyone have any ideas how i could maybe speed things up in getting my card sooner? Or what will happen to my direct debits when they realise the cards expired?

Don't cards expire on the LAST day of the month??0

It would seem logical that it means the end of Oct 2010 for expiry. That would fit with the bank saying it will be another 2 weeks.Egg April 10 £6600 Jan £4678 now £0

really? I've never had a card expire before, so i don't really know the situation. But even the woman in the bank was suprised i hadn't had a new card sent out yet!0
