Does any one know of any wifi deals in any national coffee chains? Coffee Republic have a great wifi service but my free month with BT openzone will end soon. On their website they are asking for £6 for an hour's use in 24 hours!
Its great to be able to log in on my ipaq during my lunch hour!

I'm going the smartphone route as coffee shop wi-fi works out expensive. All I ever want to do is check e-mails, as I'm a freelance consultant and need to stay in contact with office and clients. If you want web browsing then not sure about best route. Maybe someone else can help. Just thought I'd suggest an alternative.0

Thanks for that. I like the versatility of the ipaq, and its nice to check ebay while out and about. Just discovered that Puccinos in Maidenhead offer FREE wifi access, but that is only 1 of 15 locations that i work in.0

You might want to have a look at http://www.readytosurf.com/index.html it seems that they are offering free wifi until March then expected price to be around £50 for 6 months according to http://www.newswireless.net/index.cfm/article/790
