tried to return something without receipt and exchange it for other items but told there has been a crack down on returns without the receipt. the item had the code sticker on but they won't take it back without proof of receipt. told me to go home and find receipt or nothing could happen with returning it

Fair enough.. Argos is usually very good at returns, one of the main reasons I use them.. But without a receipt you cant really expect anything, can you?

if you paid for it by credit/debit card then a statement will be accepted as proof of purchase
