Morning all,
Have a very account and forgot about payment this month eck !Received a very rude phonecall from the arrears Dept last night saying needed to pay £80 by last night or she would add another £12 late payment/phonecall fee.Couldnt pay that last night because hubby had bank card in work with him.Payment was due on the 9 Sept, my fault but when on line this morning to pay and discovered only had to pay £41 arrears and the next payment of £40 was due on the 9 October but very angry this monrning because i could have pay that amount last night because have a bank card in the house which would just have covered that amount.
I know its my fault but now having to pay £24 in charges for being 3 weeks is a very painful lesson to learn.Phoned Very this morning to complain but dont hold out much hope from these cowboys.

This may sound harsh but you signed up to terms and condition and then didn't follow them, so how does it make them cowboys?
You might be able to get the fees back as a good will gesture if you stay calm and pay up to date, but I would guess the charge will stand.
As you say its a lesson learnt.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Very are the same company as Littlewoods and Choice etc and don't take kindly to late payments and they are incredibly quick to get on the phone to you (or write) and demand payment.
They do list all their charges both on their website and paper invoices which makes it hard for someone to complain about the amount they are being charged. But the worst they can say is no if you call and ask them not to charge so much due to a genuine mistake.
But as Percy1983 says you signed the terms and conditions so they can obviously refuse but it may be worth ago.

I didnt find them too bad. Our payment went in late due to circumstances beyond our control. They slapped on interest and charges, after phoning they refunded the charges as they agreed it was not our fault. They left the interest though as we failed their take 3 scheme. So instead of no interest they are hitting us for £30 a month.
So they will make a fortune from us for a year or so but after it is paid off they will lose even more as we no longer shop with them.Barclaycard 3800
