New bank account - Payday loans

Since i got my new Co op cashminder card and set my DMP up.. i am just wondering if there is ANY way at all the payday companies i owe money to can take out of this account? Somehow.. quickquid (who i have never had a payday loan with) have my details..sent me an email saying i can have a loan etc etc etc.. it might be through some credit check i tried doing online i really dont know, but basically what im asking is.. i havent give my details to any of the payday companies i owe money to.. so they cannot get my details off anyone else and take money out?!!

the payday companies you owe should not be able to get any monies from your new bank account AS LONG As you have not given them any of your details. They MAY try to take payments from your old account if they had your card no. but, from what I remember, if your old account is actually closed, requests for payment should be returned "account closed" (or words to that effect)

It should not, in theory be possible for them to take money out unless you have signed a direct debit with them.

These organisations target the financially vulnerable and should be avoided, indeed banned. If you are really desperate to borrow I suggest you join your local credit union.
