    Hi Ladies,

Just a quick fly through from me ... I have an update from The-Wife

Unfortunately its not good news, please Keep both The-Wife and her family and also Tomsmum and her family in all our thoughts.

This is the email from Jennie.
    Hi! Tams

I got home last night after spending a couple of days with Paul and found a big fat envelope waiting for me. Well, I was so overwhelmed that I have to admit to shedding a few tears as this has been such an emotional time for me. People that I've never met took the time to make me such beautiful cards and I was just speechless, please thank them all and I will take a photo to show them all.

We went back to Paul's local cancer unit and we were dealt another blow when the doctor announced that the brain tumour could very well be linked to another one in his chest that is giving him the breathing difficulties. Within the next two weeks he will have a scan on his head to see if there is anything lurking still and an upper body scan to see if they can locate this next tumour. He also told Paul that he will never drive again and that the brain tumour aspect is only manageable not cureable. It could reappear in the future.

We did tell the Doc that Paul has never had a headache associated with the tumour and that during the seizures he is fully awake, he never passes out. He was surprised at this info. He made Paul walk a straight line with one foot in front of the other (you know like when you're p*ssed!!) and also hold his hands out in front to see if there is any wobble. He seemed pleased with that.

Paul has definitely got a lot stronger with his breathing and speech and I told the doc that when Paul eats, his voice is almost back to normal but goes croaky a little while after, he was surprised at this info too. So, we are still in limbo, we will get the results of the scans around the 28th. Paul has no problem with radiotherapy on his head and losing his hair, but is considering what to do about the chemo he may have to endure for his chest. It was pretty bad last time with his throat.

Will keep you updated and please can you pass on my huge thanks to everyone who sent me a card, they will be treasured as a sign of a very special friendship

I will pop back over the coming week and try and catch up . Hope you all have a good weekend, mine has been hell since Friday when the meeting with the headmaster was horrible and ended up with me walking out in tears after having a go at him :D
