Great news, Melissa... so jealous... but we decided not to try again I couldn't take another 'failure'

...plus, as soon as ds moves out I can have a craft room if we don't have any more ;)

TomsMom - my neighbour at our other house had this problem with her dachshound (sp?) she took serious advice, I'll see if I can find out how they resolved it.

Tomsmom - have you tried a little treat. Its amazing how quickly they move when they think you might give them more treats!

Sorry to snip you ladies. Thanks Marg, I'd be interested to hear what they did and if it worked. Addams I was going to try that today, up to now we've just done the happy good girl, the encouraging 'Poppy come', fuss thing up to now. I ended up carrying her to the beach yesterday (good job she's not a Great Dane :rotfl: ) and once she was there she was more than happy to run around for about 15 minutes then she walked back home, no sitting down. It's just when we start out. If she knows we're on the way home something clicks in! I'd love to take her to classes, socialising, training, whatever, but there's just nothing around here, nearest one is about an hour away and she'd be sick on the way :(.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARY-OP :bdaycake: Your card should be with you tomorrow, forgot to pick it up when I went out yesterday, so sorry :o.

Nothing special planned for today, it's dull and raining, maybe I can get upstairs to make a card!

    Have a nice day all.

Hi ladies! Hope your all well.

I have decided to start cardmaking! my mum and my granny are very into it and id love to be as creative as they are! I was just wondering where do you buy all your supplies..cards & envelopes, embellishments, paper etc and what sites there are to use for inspiration, templates, etc? I am going at lunch to buy some mags for freebies!! :) Any advice would be great! I've no idea where to start there is so much out there, i lack creativeness and im dying to get stuck in!! Hopefully going to Ikea to get myself a table, that would be a good start!! Im going to use our spare room as my "craft" room!! so exciting lol :)

Look forward to being a part of this thread!
    xx

  • Morning ladies!

Congrats Melissa - my friend with 4 says you don't really notice the extra once you get past 3!

    Happy Birthday Mary

Lucky you Craftygranny - I still have a hankering for one of these!

I need to get on and make some wedding invitation samples for a colleague this morning - but it's so wet and miserable here today I'm finding it hard to get motivated!

Hi Curly - for inspiration, you can start by checking out our blogs. Click on our names in the post and click visit homepage.
Magazines are good to get started, especially the ones that have cardmaking kits in them. I'm sure if your mum and gran are into cardmaking, you may be able to 'borrow' a few bits!
Alot of us go to local craft shops or hobbycraft type places.
People also post links to freebie digis every now and then which are worth checking out.
We are a friendly bunch here, so feel free to ask any questions.

  • Oh forget to mention. Mr Ts have some A5 plastic clipboards - a pack of 2 for 50p! Thought they'd be great decorated on a fridge to hold shopping lists - they are quite light so should work with a couple of magnets on the back.
