Hello all,
I'm after some advice if possible.. I'm trying to get in to card making and I've made a couple but due to my limited supplies I found myself getting a little bored as all the cards were looking very similar..
I get the impression that you need quite a lot of bits and pieces to start off with but I don't really have the money right now to go and buy lots more. So I wondered, if you have any tips on how to get started without spending lots of money. I've already been and got some bits from Hobbycraft and I’ve acquired some more bits and pieces but still not all that much.
Looking at some blogs I see that they are some very talented people on here so I’m hoping someone might be able to help..

A craft mat a good metal ruler, sharp knife , endless supply of double sided tape and good cardstock . If you have a printer there are lots of free backing papers and images out there to be had. Images here , papers here .Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

Thrifty welcome back.
Your ES mints looks fab - mine are small as my scallop punch is smaller than the SU ones but I think they look ok!
Congrats to the latest winners!!
It's blowing a gale here and raining heavily. I have to pop down the road to the PO later so hope it stops for a while!!!
Hope everyone is ok.The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -
hanb, have a visit to the online craft shops and sign up for their newsletters, that way you'll be in first when the bargains come along, 50% off, free postage etc. Also, pop in here regularly as we often post about freebies and bargains we find on the net (assuming you have a printer) and I've found loads of craft shops through recommendations from the brilliant people on here, we are a really nice and very friendly bunch.
Tell us what you like, papers styles colours etc. I have to warn you this can be one of the most un-MSE places to be. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0
