:(Hi just finished uni and Ive got a credit default on my experian file from a mobile provider. I have paid the bill nearly three years ago and have bank statement to prove it. The provider wont talk to me even though ive paid the bill. They keep telling me the debts being sold onto another company and i have to talk to them.....why... when Ive paid the bill and contract was between me and them.
The knock on effect for me i cant get credit from any high street bank and its holding me back as im wanting to take a personal loan out to start up a business.
Does anyone know of a quickfix to get this sorted and am i entitled to compensation for the financial inconvenicence its causing me ...??:Awith the errror being on there part.

Did you default on the debt originally, was the payment you made 3years ago late? even if the debt has been paid since a default will remain on your credit file for 6years. Though if the debt has been paid it should be shown as a settled default.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
