I AM TRYING TO SORT OUT MY CREDIT SCORE AND ACTIO ALBIS APPARENTLY ARE DEALING WITH AN OUTSTANDING DEBT TO KALEIDOSCOPE CATALOGUE. ACTIO CONTACTED ME YESTERDAY SPECIFYING THE DEBT AND I GAVE THEM MY DEBIT CARD DETAILS TO SETTLE IT, BUT NOTHING HAS GONE OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. SHOULD I BE WORRIED?

Do you know you owe kaleidoscope money?
You say that acto are apparently dealing with the debt? How do you know this? did they write to you? call you? did kaleidoscope write to you to say the debt was being sold on to acto?
I would suggest you never ever give your bank card details out to any company like this. In fact I would never speak to them on the phone at all.
In future if anyone says you owe them money by phone get them to write to you with details. If you get chased by anyone via letter then you first need to establish if you owe the money and if they legally have the right to collect the debt. To do this the best starting point it to send the prove it letter - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=11570893&postcount=2
Should you be worried that nothing has come out of your account? well I'd be a lot more worried if lots of money/transactions had come out of your account.
I don't know anything about acto but you might want to consider cancelling that bank card and asking the bank for a new one, this will protect you from anyone taking out money from your account without your permission.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
