Recommend a deep fat fryer

Options
The thermostat slider has snapped off our old kenwood so we are looking for a new deep fat fryer, preferably with the following features:

Cool wall (Essential)

Removable bowl and lid (Dishwasher safe)

Reasonably priced (<£30)

"Professional" style design (Not essential but would be nice to have)

Not too big, not too small.

Can anyone recommend anything?

Most of the "Professional" ones come apart for cleaning but don't have cool walls; most of the cool wall ones can't be fully cleaned in a dish washer!

The so-called professional ones won't have cool walls because they have stainless steel bodies.

The nearest I can find to your criteria is this Swan fryer which costs £30 reserve and collect from Argos.

    Are Swan a good brand?

I know they used to be but aren't they now a 'badge' applied to far eastern product?

I've just bought a Delongi Roto Fryer i know not the style your looking for but they really are great easy to clean, use less oil, i've had them before and they really are great, a little more expensive than some but worth it in the long run, mine was on offer in argos under £50 from £70 but when your new cooker is playing up (long story) needs must..

There aint no pleasing some people.

Best thing to do is to write to Bosch in Germany (don't put a stamp on your letter that'll cost you money) and demand that they design a deep fat fryer that is stainless steel with a cool wall, removeable everything, washable, not too big and not too small but just right (don't bother with measurements. The Krauts, as well as being highly efficient are also mind readers), professional design and signed by Mr. Bosch himself, be nuclear resistant, have a lifetime guarantee and cost tuppence three farthings maximum.
