There's also another offer with Thomson where you just phone a company with the nectar logo (find this in ThomsonLocal) via a special number and you get credited with 150 points. I haven't tried that one yet, so not sure if you actually have to buy something.

I did this about 2 years ago and posted on here advising that the calls were more expensive (can't remember the amount now unfortunately and not found my original post).

Of course things may have changed since then but it's something to be aware of.

Just completed my first review but don't think the nectar points are on offer anymore :(

Fingers crossed I win a camera instead, ha! :rotfl::rotfl:

All my latest reviews are up on the Thomson website but no nectar points credited :( and can't find the reference to 250 points anymore. Oh well, all good things come to an end!

Another 1,000 points credited this morning. Yay! Plus the offer still advertised on the nectar website, so I'll so do my remaining reviews next week to achieve my full 3,000 points entitlement. I would say that as long as the offer is still being advertised somewhere then you should be entitled to the points.

    250 bonus points

when you review a business on ThomsonLocal.com
    Valid from 26 August 2010 to 24 September 2010
    Sorry, this offer has expired.
guess, people were taking a !!!!, just look at so-called "reviews": 'great service' or 'recommended' - not really useful reviews and shouldn't be awarded with 250 points worth £1.25 IMHO
  • I wrote about 10 detailed reviews in all and was credited with 250 points IN ALL ... Don't know what went wrong .. Is better than nothing , but thanks to for the '3 per week' tip - Didn't realise that!

Will look out for any extra points but have chosen to be honest and write honest reviews about where I have been or services used etc
  • i was about to post something about prospective customers GETTING nectar points, when they call using selected advertiser referral numbers.. 0.5p to 2p per minute, on a 0845 number? not sure if that still works though..
Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
