unlocking pension

I was recently reminded that I had put money into an Axa pension plan some years ago. It is only a small amount about £2,000. I was wondering if I could get at any of this money now and if so how do I go about getting it.

Thanks for any advice, Kathy

No, in word, a pension is for your retirement, you cannot get any cash for it.
You cannot access a pension till (legislation as it is at present) you are 55.

    Its not a savings account.

Not unless you're either 55, or likely to die in the next 12 months due to a known medical condition.

Nope, you can only access a pension on retriement, death or diagnosis of a terminal illness with strcitly less than 12 months to live (certified by two doctors).
Of course if you are old enough you can access it under the retirement part.
