Hey there
i am in need of anyones help, i didn't know where to post this thread, so i put it here
My girlfriend has just ordered some UGG boots from a website, which turned out to be a fake UGG website. Shes paid by card (debit or credit, im unsure), and she has now found that she can not access the website to try and even cancel the order.
I was just wondering, what would you suggest we do bout this? As i really want to help her.
thanks

I have not been in this situation so I don't know what the best thing to do would be.
I would try contacting the company you ordered from: phone, email, any way you can to try to get the order stopped.
You don't state if the Uggs were actually fake Ugg Australia Uggs or were general Uggs as Ugg is just a type of boot. (Just like trainers are a type of shoe) however, Deckers, a US based company own a certain brand within the Ugg style and label it 'Ugg Australia'. If the boots your gf ordered were trying to be Ugg Australia (complete with fake label) you may have a chance with your card company (again, I don't know if this is true, I'd just hope I could file a case for fraud or having been mis sold something). It could be worth a try calling your card company but they may only want to look into it if the price was more then £100 as this seems to be the boarder-line mark for insuring things. If the boots never arrive, this is also something to report to your card company.
You could also try places like Consumer Rights. The CAB may also have some links.
Otherwise, you may have to bite the bullet and learn from the mistake- its unfortunately a very common mistake which people post on year in year out. If the boots do arrive/have arrived, you could always save them for really freezing and dirty weather where she'd not want to ruin her other footwear.
Really hope you get something sorted and sorry this has happened to you/your girlfriend.0
