Red5 gadget shop = hexbug nano and big trak etc - good older boys toys

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2759204
code 10% off

Just heard about these nano things on shop but don't drop thread, they are not available many places and thought it would be a great present for DS1 age 11. I wanted the habitat set but cheapest place was maplin and sold out, so i found them on this site and a 10% code.

On my other thread someone picked one up at Next - a single bug and she got it for £5, I phoned my local next and they have them for £8 (most other places they are £9 so Next seems a good price)

hexbug site also see youtube

on the hot for xmas thread some people mentioned big trax from Play, it's also on this site if it sells out at Play

I hadn't heard of the shop before so thought I would post

delivery is reduced at mo to £2.95, so the 10% code covered my order.

I don't know much about the big Trak, on the other thread peoples husbands were buying them as a retro toy.

As the bugs are new out I would imagine they will get more popular when kids here about them, I can see boys taking them to school for playtime and frightening girls lol!

I love these and sure my DS will he's 8. Just hope they become more accessible nearer christmas, seen them on amazon but very low stock.

I was hoping and waiting to see if Argos jumped on them and use my voucher...they only have 2 bugs and no kits yet. Keep my eyes open...watch this you'll not be able to get them at all :D
  • Just to say IWOOT have these for £26.99 for the habitat and £8.99 for the nano. There is currently a 15% off voucher and 13% cashback if you go via quidco which brings the Habitat down below £20 and the nano below £6.50 (if you include the cashback).

On the individual original, inchworm, ant and crab pages it says Recommended for Children 14+ but on the nano it says Recommended for Children 3+ (No indication why though)

I'm the one who got one for £5 from next!!
I think the age for the others is 14 because they have some wire bits on them, have to say my 7 year old plays with is though and I can't see a problem unless he was to pull the wire bits out or something!!
