right at the bottom it states:
*Installation price is £99, equipment to remain the property of ADT. £19.99 per month charge is for monitoring, service and equipment rental. 36 month contract applies. Offer ends 31st December 2010. Terms and conditions apply. To view visit http://www.adt.co.uk/security99

Yes, the installation charge relates to this bit...
And if your not lucky enough to win this prize you can still take advantage of an ADT Alarm System installed from just £99*.

I won this exact same prize over a year ago now and on Heart Fm not Classic.I complained how is it a prize/comp if i have to pay for it and in the end they agreed and i didn't have to pay for anything. After the year though and it has been now and i haven't heard anytyhing they take away the part where they call you or another number you've given them if the alarm goes off and you end up with just the basic alarm system or it going off when someone breaks in.Darren0

Cheers for the advice dalkirst.I'll be a little retrospective though & I'm still not sure on pure hotlinked images. What happens if the host changes the images to a risky image? Most other forums have covered it but we seem to have never reached a conclusion.I won this exact same prize over a year ago now and on Heart Fm not Classic.I complained how is it a prize/comp if i have to pay for it and in the end they agreed and i didn't have to pay for anything. After the year though and it has been now and i haven't heard anytyhing they take away the part where they call you or another number you've given them if the alarm goes off and you end up with just the basic alarm system or it going off when someone breaks in.0

This whole point about hotlink images was covered by MSE Admin on 08.01.2010, whereupon it was stated that hotlink images could stay unless the host site registered an objection about the use of its bandwidth. As I recall this discussion took place as a result of a member called Christoph who took offence at Weeowen's "rude" comments.
I further recall that the member expressly requested that Weeowen refrain from sending him any further private messages, and was clearly upset at the comments directed at him by Weeowen.
As the matter re hot links was decided by an MSE Administrator, I am not sure why this has been raised again. Rules are after all rules, and we all know the rules when we sign up!! Having said that, I see no objection in principle to anyone wishing to make observations about the sense or otherwise about rules applicable on the site. However, I am not sure that people who are not part of the MSE administration should by words or deeds make comments that may be perceived by others as coming as a voice of authority rather than just an opinion.
Christoph was clearly left under the false impression that Weeweeowen was some kind of moderator. :rotfl:0

Not sure I did misread. This was, amongst other things, Christoph's message to you - All I ask is that you be nice to other members of the forum, and that you respect the rules as stated by the MSE admin team. :rotfl:

We tend to self moderate if that makes any sense.:D
I'd say this is a very friendly forum & don't feel that I was rude to any member.
The point I was trying to make was that MSE admin do not want us to post hotlinked images on here. The owners/hosters of that image may have bandwidth issues plus what is to stop them altering the image to something unsuitable for here.
There are few rules on here but not posting hotlinked images seems to be one of them.I'd rather that the comp section remains & thrives so I'd prefer that we abide by MSE admins wishes. Some members may inadvertently post hotlinked images and I cannot see the harm in posting what I have.
If you wish to clarify this please feel free to pm me or MSE admin.Cheers:D
No, self moderating makes no sense to me actually
I do not wish for you to send me a pm either  and consider your reply as very rude actually
Happy New Year to all who read my posts :T"
I am trying to be fair by reproducing Christoph's original post. And anyway Weeowen, thanks for trying to clear this up. I was just a little concerned that you may have overstepped the mark on this one. I know you mean well :rotfl:0
