Glasses - Why so much?!

We have a chart that we use to determine which index to use. Not meant to reveal the way we do it but our thickest plastic lens is a 1.5, we go right up to 1.74 double aspheric plastic and 1.8 and 1.91 glass is also included in the offer. All lenses are anti-reflective coated and all kids lenses have UV coating as standard as well.
It all depends on your prescription, if you're above a certain threshold your lens isn't determined by the chart but by a dispensing optician.:happyhear0 -
From what I understand the reason they don't advertise it on TV is because their small print says "majority of stores" and asda opticians aren't in the majority of stores. Also some asdas have a different optical chain in them and they wont do the offer, it has to be an official asda optician.
Our customers were coming in with mail shots last time we had an offer on and I remember once seeing an asda optician advert in a tabloid but I don't think this is common place. If you call your local asda store they should be able to tell you any stores in the area with an asda optician, failing that PM me the area you live and i can find out your nearest one.0
