I would like some advice could anyone tell me what kind of mortgage i can get and which would be the best In 2003 i got into debt to the tune of 27k.Everything was payed off in 2009.Now having looked at my credit report i see i have 2 defaults on it one ends in feb2011,the other 2015.Now my bank account just used to be basic but now it is current with a £500 overdraft.I couldn't get a mobile phone contract with vodafone 2yrs back but i applied 8months back and they said fine so took one out with them. Now seems to me my credit looks like its getting back on track could anyone tell me what my best options are.Oh by the way enquired about a mortgage with my bank they said no (lloyds). But yet i can get a current account whats that all about many thanks

Not enough information to give any indication.

As you have adverse credit it could be difficult. You should speak to a 'Whole of Market' broker. Do not apply to every lender a best buy table or price comparison site tells you. This could cause more harm than good.

As for Lloyds, a current account is far far less risky than a mortgage. Because they give you a £500 overdraft does not mean they are obliged to give you a mortgage.

How much were the defaults for?

What purchase prices were you looking at? And what kind of deposit do you have?

When were those defaults first registered?

    What is your income?

DO you have zero debts now?
