Mortgage payment break and benefits

Options
Hello all
Just been made redundant and considering taking a 3 month payment break before moving onto interest only payments with Halifax.
I plan to claim Job Seekers allowance immediately and know they pay interest on mortgage after 13 weeks.
My question is will they still do this if I have been on a payment break for my 13 week qualifying period?
Thanks for any help (& thanks to person who advised me to re-post my question here - did not know how to reply!)

Halifax won't offer mortgage payment breaks for reasons of redundancy.

Equally, they are not under any obligation to let you go on to interest only.

They will seek a payment arrangement with you where they will (rightly) prioritise things like mortgage, food and council tax payments ahead of other bills.
