Parcel delivery in Notts?

Can anyone recommend a reputable parcel delivery company working in the Notts area? I want to earn some cash, but want to work within a decent set-up.

Comments

  • Dont know any i'm afraid never had the need to use one.

If you are finding it difficult to find a reputable firm in the area why not try setting up on your own? A man and a van today maybe tomorrow you will be contracting work to other van drivers in the area and reaping the rewards!!!
  • I'd like to do some full/part-time work, but am not sure which company is best? What commitment they expect from me? What pay I can expect from them? I am fit, clean licence, etc.

Is it best to go big - DHL, FedEx, etc - or small, local firms?

If anyone has any experience/advice to offer please do. I'm based in Beeston, Notts.

    Thanks guys.
  • I would avoid courier work mate

I work for a courier (admin) and some of the crap the drivers have to put up with is nuts.
We have a few guys working for various agencys but they get a flat rate no matter how much they deliver compared to the owner drivers that get around £1.60 per consignment but this could be 1 parcel or 20. it varies from place to place tbh/

you will be responsible for getting stuff signed for, if its not then your for the highjump. Trust me it really is not worth it.
Some of the owner drivers pay out 1200 quid a month on the van, fuel and insurance before they earn any cash!

Okay, thanks for the advice mate, I'll not bother. I can't be doing with any stress at my age, so it's obviously not the job for me.
