No they credit score they give you is a made up number that no potential new lender would use (or even see).

Each lender has their own specific lending criteria, they will use the information you put on your application form along with the information on your credit report (the full main report not the score bit) to decide whether or not to lend to you in a specific scenario.

Eg there are lots of people with a credit score of 999 who have never had a single credit product in their life, could easily not be earning and would find it extremely difficult to get any mainstream credit.

Generally held view on here is that paying for a score is a waste of money. Instead you need to look at what is on your full report and check it is correct and if you want a new credit account soon have a read of this - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/credit-rating-credit-score

A lot of people do pay for it, the website is designed to make you think you need that info, no need to feel silly. If you've signed up for an ongoing fee then its probably sensible to cancel it before they take out the next payment from you.

If you have paid for a score you should have access to your report - they refer to it as your credit report rather than your credit score I think. Basically it will show all your credit accounts in detail and show info such as electoral roll info, addresses and linked address, details of any ccjs etc.

But in future you can get a one off copy of the full report for just £2.
