bank loan finished - asking for missing payment from 2007
Hi,
I took out a bank loan in 2005 which finished in August 2010. They phoned me to advise that the loan was clear as per the original agreement. Then I got a letter on the 21st September advising that I had missed a payment in Oct 2007. They never mentione dit before, I wasn't aware. I'm just wondering whether they have the right to ask for it back after all this time and after being told that my loan was clear??

Yes, they have a right to ask for it.
I'd suggest checking your bank statements to verify the fact though.0 -
if you don't have a bank statement from then, they can order them for you, but they will charge.0
