Now I'm really worried

Hi everyone
Brief history, I am saving for Bankruptcy and have been making £1 token payment to all creditors since Feb 2010, 4 have been passed to DCA.
I keep all creditors and DCA up to date with any changes in my circumstances and occasionally the creditors write and ask for a update on my income and expenditure, I have no problem providing this information to the creditors, but Moorcroft asked for this information so I sent them details which included photocopies of letters of the benefits I recieve which include details of my National Insurance number etc, apart from bank statements this is the only proof I have of my income.
Now I'm really worried because I have read postings on various boards that say never ever give anyone your national insurance number and I'm worried that I have given them to much information and something else may happen. Can anyone advise me as to if I have to provide this information to DCA. I know I am paranoid but thats what debt does to you, permantley terrified that a debt collector will turn up at the house, I keep all windows and doors locked at all times and I am terrified of that knock at the door I am a prisoner in my own home. Any advise much appreciated.
