Hello!! Well after our posh dinner last night it was back to normality today with sardines on toast for lunch! It was Ciabatta bread though from MG's recipe, and was really nice - I pushed the boat out and grated a little cheese onto mine too....followed up with 2 clementines and some choklit! :o

Haven't a clue what we're having later on - OH is at rugby this afternoon and then we're meeting at a beer festival later so it might be something like grab a cheese roll there possibly.

The slow roast pork sounds gorgeous - I've done an adaptation on J.O.'s recipe once or two but never with the full on shoulder.....I love roast pork though!

    Cuppa time now I think,....

That sounds like a euphimism for something altogether different. On this occasion though, I'll guess that you really have bought some pork! :D

I have indeed bought some pork :D

Sat here listening to DS (7yrs) explaining to DD2 (5yrs) how babies are born. Apparently they live in your belly but come up through your mouth, though some pop out through the belly button :undecided

  • Evening all x

Lunch was chicken and savoury rice (using up leftovers). Tonight DH is cooking pork chops, cheesy mash, brocoli chese and carrots - my fav, and its proper chops from a butchers. None of them weedy supermarket ones for us.

I've spent most of the day painting the front hallway a lovely shade of green (sounds gross but looks really clean and fresh). DS is in for a shock when he comes home tomorrow, he hates change
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

  • So do we, but we have to wait for DS to be out cos he's not too keen. He'll be cross about missing the cheesy spuds and veg though :)
