Be careful I think this could be risky, putting the first line of the contact address 331 Burnley Road, Rossendale, Rossendale, BB4 8LA brings up a whole host of companies based at this residential address, one of which is J Novak (Tailor) Limited a company struck off and dissolved on 26th April 2011. The residents at that address according to 192.com are a family with the surname Novak.

This company trades as part of etail direct ltd, it is registered with the companies house, http://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/etail-direct but the previous name of etail direct ltd was Andrew Novak limited.

A google search of Andrew Novak brings up this http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/issues/59348/pages/3490/page.pdf

The registered address of etail changed on 22 March this year the previous one was an address in (Victory House, 24 Elmsway, Stockport Cheshire SK7. A search on 192.com bring up alot of companies at this address)

The names
Clare Louise Novak, Peter Novak, Sharon Novak, Andrew Novak all appear to be connected to a huge range of companies via this address and the ones in Blackburn.

Basically the more I look the more complicated it gets some of the above directors have nearly as many dissolved companies behind them as ones they are running. For something as important as your wedding I personally wouldn't risk it.

OOOOOh i wish i had this info before. I believe my dress has gone for cleaning at a company also registered at this address. It's due back tomorrow. I will say that communication with them has been very good so far. Tomorrow will be the day of reckoning!

I was thinking of using them myself and wouldn't normally have looked so in depth (I was trying to find reviews for you!) but it just seems so odd?!

Alternatively just make sure you have wedding insurance!

Just to update - dress arrived back safe and sound and they've done a wonderful job :T

I used to deal with Ettiquette. Hirewear direct was a sidearm of Ettiquette formal hire, these guys were a big player in the formalwear market, they used to supply greenwoods and were supplying debenhams until they hit service level problems and financial issues. They set up hirewear direct as a smokescreen to the ettiquette brand as so to claw back some of the business they lost through poor quality garments and stock not being available.

Ettiquette formalhire went into liquidation in 2010 and were subsequently bought out and then the new company was folded also and again went into liquidation.

Ettiquette formalhire was bought by ACS clothing in Scotland who were there main rivals and (cameron Ross) is a trading name, this company are superb.

The issues with Etiquette were they would deal with everybridal shop in the country and basically would give Debenhams all there stock leaving grooms all around the country with ill fitting garments.

Deal with these guys at your peril, I have spoken to all the Novaks at some point or other in my time and there all clueless.

Stick to the ACS brand (cameron ross) you cant go wrong......

Note; Just before Ettiquette went bump I paid them 6K in duplicate invoices which they just wouldnt admit too (overcharges) thats I lost !! not ettiquette as Im sure you agree!
