Hi,
My husband has just been offered a job at a local Harvester pub and we would be grateful if anyone knew if it they pay weekly/4 weekly/monthly and when the pay date is in the month etc.
As the pub is having a bit of a refurb this week he doesn't start until next monday and with him having nothing to do with our finances and bills completely forgot to ask!
Thanks
Sarah

Hi,
My husband is a chef and applied for a basic chef post, he has been a head chef and kitchen manager before but just wants a job where he can finish and forget about things due to stress/depression.
He took in a CV last Friday afternoon and they said that they would call him early this week - they then rang at 8.30pm on Friday night offering him an interview today and he was offered a job on the spot.
He has been a chef for 16 years and unfortunately it is not a great area to be in, rubbish hours, poor pay and stress! He left his last employment due to working 80+ hours a week for 3 weeks and was then treated really poorly when he was signed off with exhaustion for a week!
He went for his interview and it lasted about an hour, they asked him about his experiences and a few scenario questions. They showed him all round the pub/kitchen and asked what he would change if anything in the kitchen. He was also told that the current kitchen staff may not be there much longer due to disciplinary action and that there maybe promotion opportunities in the near future.
Is there anything else specific you would like to know and I will ask him for you
Thanks

Harvester pay weekly usually on a Monday... M&B are really good to work for, and the training is really goodOf all the things I have lost I miss my mind the most£2,960 in debt to RBS paying off at £10 a Fortnight0

M&B pay monthly. I work in one of their Castle pubs. Good training (to a certain extent) but the company as a whole and the people they employ (I'm talking managers, 'team leaders', area managers etc) are a bunch of muppets. Oh, and the pay is crap.Dry January: 31/31 days. :T0
