any way to find out previous accepted offer

Looking at houses at the moment and saw one I quite like. I know they have just had the chain collapse on them and need to sell. Is there any way I can find out what the accepted offer was to see where we should pitch ours?

Try asking the Estate Agents. Alternatively make an offer yourself. You can only be declined.0

Yep you could definitely try asking the EA. Just be warned though that we did the exact same thing and were definitely lied to (as we later discovered!)
Our property was on the market for £205k-£210k. The EA said "erm...the accepted offer which fell through was £210k" (yeah right - given that the house had been on the market for way over 6 months and had received no other offers!!! Who offers the max asking price in a scenario like that??)
We didnt believe him - but anyway we finally bought the house for £187.5k and the EA (in error) sent us the previous offer statement!! So we actually discovered that the original offer had only been £200k.
You never know though - you may get a very honest EA who tells you the real offer price
