What do you buy as a basic shop weekly?
Lettuce, Onions, Tomatoes, Cucumber, Bread, Mushrooms, Apples, Bananas, seafood(haddock, mackerel, prawns etc), 2 carrots, clove of garlic
Price: £10 - £15 per week
What are your once a month purchases?
Tea(redbush and black, tetley), Nutella, Honey, Multipack crisps, 100g bar of dark dairy free chocolate, cayenne pepper, porridge oats(daily breakfast), some red meat, hobnobs, 5 litres vinegar
Price: £20 - £25 per month
Cleaning products and toiletries
Razor blades(double edged safety razor), bog roll, roll on deodorant, shampoo and conditioner(i just use soap), soap, toothpaste, new toothbrushes, washing up liquid, washing machine stuff
Price: £10- £25 per month
This is for two adults
Now when the woman is buying(3 months of me buying, 3 months of her and so on...) she spends without fail closer to £50 per week sometimes more

The Food shopping and Groceries board might have some hints for you to cut down a little, they often also post special offers etc...
