Hi,

I volunteer in an advice centre, and today we had a client who received a letter from Westcot, which enabled her to pay her debt via paypoint. They sent her a letter with a barcode on to use at any paypoint outlet. I've never seen this before, and it seems a good way of paying. It gives you total control over your payments.

Is this a new introduction? Maybe DMC's are starting to expand their methods of receiving payments!!

yeah my mother had this option on one of hers but at the time she was only making token £1 payments and the minimum paypoint would do was £3. Wescot wouldnt use it to cover that months and the next 2 months worth though unfortunately and wanted another payment the next month regardless.

I agree it is good that they are expanding payment methods however and I'm sure for some people it would be a good way of doing it.

(As long as you keep the payment slip they give you as proof ofc- wouldn't want payments going astray would we :cool: )
