Paypoint

Hi,

I volunteer in an advice centre, and today we had a client who received a letter from Westcot, which enabled her to pay her debt via paypoint. They sent her a letter with a barcode on to use at any paypoint outlet. I've never seen this before, and it seems a good way of paying. It gives you total control over your payments.

Is this a new introduction? Maybe DMC's are starting to expand their methods of receiving payments!!

Comments

  • yeah my mother had this option on one of hers but at the time she was only making token £1 payments and the minimum paypoint would do was £3. Wescot wouldnt use it to cover that months and the next 2 months worth though unfortunately and wanted another payment the next month regardless.

I agree it is good that they are expanding payment methods however and I'm sure for some people it would be a good way of doing it.

(As long as you keep the payment slip they give you as proof ofc- wouldn't want payments going astray would we  )
