Wonga & PayDayUK

Hi guys,

A few months ago I took out a Wonga and PayDayUK loan. I had £100 from both companies.

The following month I was unexpectedly made redundant from my job and this left me out of work and in a financial position of where I couldn't afford to pay these loans back.

I tried to contact Wonga/PayDayUK about this but they weren't really interested and told me that they would keep trying to take payment.

I had to make a new bank account so they wouldn't take the money I actually needed to keep a roof over my head.

Now it has been a couple of months and I'm starting to get letters from Wonga/PayDayUK saying that payment hasn't been made and my debt might be sold on.

How would I go about setting up a repayment plan with both of these companies?

I'm on JSA at the moment so I can't afford to pay a great deal back each month, maybe around £20 to each company a month.

I've never been in this situation before so I'm not sure on what I should do, should I email both companies explaning my situation and asking if they'd let me set up a repayment plan with them?

Many thanks

At the end of the day its not your fault you cant pay it back
if they wont accept your proposed payment plan then ce la vie you can only pay back what you can afford to pay.
let them sell it on them you can set up a more sutible plan with a dca.
Lastly i have recently found out alot of the pdl companies cant put a defaul on your credit file as they are not credit scoring products, i dont know if this is the case with these 2 but its good if it is not.
