Gosh, how do you begin to describe this amazing piece of kit... its a tablet computer which has been particularly marketed as a platform for audio and visual media, such as books, periodicals, movies, music, and games, as well as web content. The ipad runs the same operating system as the earlier ipod Touch and iphone. It can run its own applications as well as ones developed for the iphone. The ipad is controlled by a multi touch display as opposed to using a stylus which most tablet computers used. The ipad is managed and sync'd by iTunes which you do on your personal computer via a USB cable.

It uses a WIFI data connection to browse the internet, load and stream media, and to install software. The ipad comes in 16gb, 32gb & 64gb versions, all of which have WIFI as standard. The more expensive models of the 16gb, 32gb & 64gb versions also have the 3g wireless data connection. Therefore when looking at ipads and comparing prices, make sure you compare 'like for like' as you would do when comparing computer specifications before you buy, or you may end thinking you have a bargain, then realise its a lower specification model than you actually wanted.

26/10/10 Duracell Toy Report shows iPhone 4, iPad and iPod Touch take top three spots on kids' wish lists (from Toy News daily).

The report shows the most wanted toys among from five to 16 year-olds this Christmas. Around 39 per cent of the children who took part in the study are asking for Apple gadgets this year. 17 per cent of five to eight year-olds, 50 per cent of nine to 12 year-olds, and 66 per cent of 13 to 16 year-olds put the Apple items at the top of their lists.

Amazon.com have Stinky the Garabge truck in stock for $49 (£31.28). Shipping & handling costs £7.33 and import fees are £6.75 making a total cost of £45.36

I don't know if I will get hit with customs charges or if these are part of the import fees so I will have to wait and see. I'll let you know when he arrives!

Anyone know anywhere that has Toffee the pony in stock.......apart from ebay where it is double the price ......asking on behalf of friend with poorly child in hospital
    Thanks

Toys R Us website says stock due early Nov

    http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Toys-R-Us/Toys/Soft-Toys/Toffee-The-Pony(0081695)

Could call Customer Services and ask who will be getting some or has some and they can check their central computer.

Argos worth a try 2 see if you can find a store with some left ?

    http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3847514/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CToys+and+games%7C14417629/c_2/3%7Ccat_15701449%7CAnimal+playsets%7C14417841.htm?_$ja=tsid:11527%7Ccc:%7Cprd:3847514%7Ccat:toys+%26+games+%3E+soft+toys+and+teddy+bears

I would give Argos Customer Services a call and ask if anyone has any.

If you have no luck then I would call the manufacturers customer service to see if they can tell you if there is any stock anywhere?

Wish could help more :( .. good luck in your search

  • Stinky The Garbage Truck -

Tesco Kingston Park, Newcastle had 5 on the shelf this morning for £58.97. I bought one using double up clubcard vouchers which makes it a bargain!
