It is silly really because if you were to default on the payments they are able to chop the phone! So it is thier loss, try Vodafone they have a sim only contract which can be cancelled with only 30 days notice, it is not a contract but you get xx mins and texts per month for a fixed price, I just got it for my mother as she was spending loads every month topping up
If you woke up this morning congratulations, you have another chance :j
  • This phone credit check article specifically goes into details with regards to sim only contracts and associated credit checks.

Having read it though, it may not make particularly positive reading given what you have explained. Perhaps, a pay as you go option may be better until your credit situation has been sorted?

check out the Orange Pay As You Go options... Dolphin i think it's called. free minutes and texts for £10 top up a month, and i never go over
  • I was discharged dec 09, rang T mobile and they gave me a 30 day rolling contract, solo fixed 15, but they do a solo fixed 10 also. I pay £15 a month for unlimited texts and 350 mins, cannot go over because it is fixed, so cannot ring 0845 numbers etc. Not a problem though because you can always put credit on as extra. They take the £15 by direct debit and it reflects on my credit files. Husband was also discharged from bankruptcy and he has same deal. Its brill.
  • o2 simplicity do not do a credit check as it is a rolling monthly contract, i have one you get 300 mins and unlimited texts for 10 pounds a month
  • Have you done the credit file cleanup yet?

i've been able to obtain contracts in the past with little problems...just recently gone back to virgin with a decent blackberry offer they had..credit checked & passed no worries (and over 3yrs since discharge)
