Monday 27th Sept- What small DFW things have you done today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Morning everyone  I made a silly mistake this morning & didn't check my work rota last night, so got up at 6 this morning  thought I'd quickly check my rota and I'm working a late
, I guess it gives me a bit of time to do some stuff before I go...
Didn't come on yesterday (or indeed finish my weekend list) as was feeling very low following serveral difficult exchanges with dd. It fills me with such happiness when we are moving forward (which we have been for a couple of months now) but also blows me out of the water when its the other way (sorry to offload)
Anyway today's another day...
hope everyone has a fab Monday x

Morning All :hello: from sunny and hot Africa
:D
Determined I was a single parent for nine years and I tell you that when it went well I was FLYING, but my most painful and most tearful times were ALWAYS as a result of a run in with one of the 2 children, and 75% was DDThey're now in their 20's and the nicest people and we have such good times together. We had lunch out last week and I told them what nice people they were, and they told me how they look back and see what horrible people they were at times :rotfl:
So today I have/will- done a couple of loads at 30, no fabric softener (maid uses too much for my liking, and this gives some balance) line dried and left for her to iron today. BIG saving really as she uses too much powder too, and for time constraints always uses the TD .
- make meal planner and shop with list
- phone my new employer......_pale_
- check banking - and phone bank re a problem
- 30 mins on the CT and then my first attempt at Shred _pale__pale_
- phone Orphanage re the clothes I've brought back, and arrange a time to take the Bigwig for a state visit
DS2 had good news from his uni and can retake after all *phew*
Have a great day everybody :A
I shall think of you as I sit in the sun0 -

Hey there - I make a full tank/pot of filter coffee on a saturday or sunday and then I keep it in the fridge
I heat it up in microwave by the cup until its done - so its not wasted - only I can drink coffee here! It safely can last 3-4 days
Works well - then when its finished the coffee grains get recycled in the big plant pot outside to add organic matter by a swill out and a dumping into garden, if you've carrots and are growing them yourself - coffee grains in the carrot bed helps deter carrot root fly
always worth grabbing some from a coffee shop if they are offering them for free (my local one has the used grains in bags to take for free) - always handy for the gardenTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Morning all
I have read the thread many times at first by accident thinking it was daily chat:o but now I read because I find it really encouraging to read of your successes.
One day I might even manage a list myself!
Have a good day
