Hi, if you go on the Focus homepage, right near the bottom where the small print is, there's a link that says FREE strawberry plants. Just click on it and it will take you to a page where there are Mount Everest strawberry plants advertised on the left side of the page. If you order some and use the code GARDEN8, they will be free except for delivery which is £4.99. A bit steep for a strawberry plant IMO but still a bargain!:money:
Hope that helps!

What are the requirements to grow it? I live in Sussex near the coast but my garden is pointing north (although I have a big garden and it easily out-sizes my house).
And as iv never done gardening before (although iv thought about growing fruit), what do I need? Whats cheaper, a hanging basket or a pot and cane? And where can i buy cheap soil online (no garden shops near me)?
ThanksThought for the day: each generation of mankind tends to hug the illusion of having reached the culmination of human achievement. Yet, as we scoff at our groping ancestors, so our descendants will surely scoff at us.

Not familiar with this particular strawberry but most strawberries are not climbers - so no cane needed.
Strawberries do best is in a sunny position.
Wondering why you need soil if you have a big garden? Do B&Q, Focus etc not do home deliveries of compost? Have never used, so I don't know.
Green-fingered moneysaving on this site can probably give you more advice.
Nothing beats the flavour of home-grown fruit - be warned you might get hooked on fruit growing0 -
Mount Everest are climbers, you train them up canes and fruit will grow on the runners. I bought some this year, thought it was a bit late for fruit but had a couple of bowls so far. They can also be grown in baskets and left to trail.

Thanks for that.
Might have a look at these then.:)0 -
The focus ones are climbers as well. Otherwise I wouldn't have know about the canes or baskets lol.
Like I said, I have never done gardening before, but I assume the mud in my garden wouldn't be as good as soil. I've a planted in potting compost in the hanging baskets, the rest are amongst the flowers in normal soil, nothing special. Both compost and soil plantings are producing fruit. Hope that helps2011 Sealed Pot Challenge #1238 hoping for £250 ~ saved £743.32
