I made a post on 3dogs thread earlier, all polite and professional and now they removed the whole thread cos I mention taking action against the site, i.e. public humiliation for silencing persons not involved in the clique that exists on here.
Its disgraceful.
I understand what you are saying, but i am not, nor have i ever been involved in any clique on here, yet i am dragged into these squabbles for just bumping the thread.
I too am sick and tired of people being classed as a Troll because they dont agree with the majority on here, but thats what happens i'm afraid, rise above it. We all have differing opinions. I've lost count of the times people have accused me of being a troll, and being part of an abuse campaign. I can tell you, i have far more important things to worry about than getting my kicks by playing the fool.If you can, help others; if you cannot do that, at least do not harm them~Dalai LamaHow people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours~Wayne DyerLet none find fault in others. A bit of a frost today, yesterday I was still picking figs from our baby fig tree. I am tipping we shall still have roses out on Christmas day if we go on like this.
We got some great Crimbo prezzies for the Grand kids yesterday. It was well worth the long drive to Trago. What a place you can buy anything from a Tractor to a drawing pin. We got some old fashioned wooden Toys for the kids, if they look after them they should be able to pass them on to their own kids.
Catch you in a while.
Cheers, Handy.:D
What the heck is Trago Handy?... never heard of it. I love those old fashioned toys, and it's great if they can be passed down, sadly though, not many kids like that sort of thing these days, my son has a few bits and pieces and to be fair, he's very good with them. Maybe they will be passed to my Grandchildren, we'll see.Hopefully not for a good while yet though!!.

Good morning all from a very cold and frosty NI:eek:. I hope everyone is well, but having looked at some of the posts from last night, it would appear I missed things getting a bit lively. If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

Morning All, I Don't see how any thread can be "anyones" on a public forum... I could start a thread NTN pt10 does it make it my thread nope.. just something I started. I do feel that the censorship because someone presses the abuse button
However I personally have seen some nasty posts on this forum so nasty that it caused an uproar and management had to release an official statement on why someone left the boards.
I feel that there is a difference between trolling and hijacking....Trolling is being nasty coming on a thread and saying things that are cruel.
I.e "Gee bee smells like donkey poop" or Honey Monster name is Bob and he lives at 123 marryhill lane Iceland" thats trolling... Hijacking is joining a thread and diverting it off the OP but in a friendly manner.
Now one of them is abuse the other is not. I feel that MSE need to look at who is CONSTANTLY pressing abuse and assess the situation (boy who cried wolf and all that)0 -
Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.
What is a Troll?
A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made. If you should get such a comment made on any thread you post, asking for help and advice, please realise this comment is not directed at you personally so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal because the majority of us really are a lovely bunch – ooops, modesty!
What should I do if I get a comment made on my thread?
Firstly do not respond to the comment as this is invariably what the troll wants. So to get rid of the offending post, at the bottom of the post towards the right hand side you’ll see a red "Warning" triangle within a blue “Abuse” icon, as shown below:
Click the icon and then "send" the message which will inform the abuse team of the post, who will then review its content and deal with it as appropriate; sometimes even deleting the troll by making their status PPR’d (Posting Privileges Removed). Remember, this site is an asset to so many people, especially those that feels like their world is falling in around them. There is a wealth of knowledgeable people here all willing to help, whatever you do, do not let the comments of one silly individual deter you from availing yourself of the knowledge base that is on offer here.
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE FORUM
It is testament to the work that Martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time, knowledge and experience freely to others; without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of their debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THATIf you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

I will open a bottle today, but it will only be the one as I overindulged on Friday night and the recovery time and hangover gets worse as you get older. I was considering the gym for a while this morning, but probably won't bother as my Dad just called to say my Mother is in hospital again, so I'll go see how she is.If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.
