I would like to start a tradition in our house for our daughter to have a Christmas Eve hamper after reading about other that do this.
My daughter will be 16months at Christmas (probably too young to understand I know) but I would love to make Christmas a bit more magical and for her to enjoy the build up.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or could share what they would put in their hampers? I had a look on the hamper index but not found christmas eve hampers for younger children.
So far I have thought -
New PJs
Slippers
A new soft toy
Lush baby bath bomb
A story book - for bedtime
and then I'm stuck. We will take her up to the express supermarket to get a carrot for the reindeer
Would be keen to see what others are including

Savvybunny -there's a thread somewhere on here all about these.
For my grandson I stuck a snowman on his normal bathtime stuff
Sewed a reindeer motif on a white flannel
Made reindeer rood (weetabix in a gravy tub I'd covered with pictures of reindeer)
Flannel reindeer
Door hanger with ''santa please stop here'' on it
Others have added other bits and pieces. It's a lovely idea and the last two years my son has just refilled the reindeer food pot and refilled snowman bubble bathI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I really fancy dong this for my DS (6) and DD (2) this year. So I have had a think and have come up with this so far:
Pj's
Snowman soup
popcorn ( because we put popcorn strings on the tree & the dvd too)
Christmas dvd - prob one we already have, polar express or muppets christmas carol so it suits both.
Slippers or slippersocks
Bubble bath ( the wee individual ones in christmas shaped packs) or ikkle baby baff
Their santa key
Their 'Night Before Christmas' book to read just before bed.0 -
i put in the kind of things above but also a pic of FC from the internet to colour to leave iout for him and a xmas card fr dd to write for him. i put i money to go to buy a carrot and a pack of cake mix/ingredients to make a cupcake/muffin for santa.0

I'm doing one for my just-2 year old this year. Have decided to put in:
packet of cookies
Christmas themed colouring sheets (downloaded from the internet)
PJs
Christmas book
Christmas soft toy (may knit this myself if I get time)
Reindeer food
Hope this helps! x0 -
            I am doing one for my Kidsto share (2, 5 & 8)
This will be the first time they have received one and it will be a gift from our Xmas Elves
Contents to include
Chistmas themed PJ's for each of them
Santa Claus DVD
Tin of Chocolates to share
Pig goes Pop Board Game
Make Your own Santa Stop here signs kit (£1 from Home Bargains)
Christmas Story Book (if I can find a cheap one)
Christmas themed Bubble Bath (again if I can find something cheap and chearfull)
I think that's enough
Zippy x

            we love doing this....
DVD, popcorn
Art & Craft stuff - last year we did santa stop here signs
Colouring sheet (Xmas based)
Lush bath bomb, toothbrush, PJ's
Xmas mug (goes back in loft each year), hot chocolate
Xmas book (we have one which goes back in the loft each year)
Reindeer food (no glitter!), last year they had a torch, this year we still have some sky lanterns which we may use (no metal bits!)
This year will be a bit different as we are going to the panto on Xmas Eve afternoon so we won't have the DVD or crafts bits. Last year I also added some Xmas pens.
We do them for anyone in the house, so last year it was DD1 (5), DD2 (2), OH, me(!), my Mum, my Dad....we all loved it.
We leave it in a large gift bag on each persons pillow, which the girls always find just after lunch!0
