Student Loan - Will it affect any mortgage application?

I graduated a couple of years ago and still have my student loan. I don't pay any off at the moment but will start to soon.

Eventually I want to get onto the property ladder, but will the fact I still have this loan mean that my chances of getting a decent mortgage are hampered?

Cheers

Student loans are totally different to a loan that appears on your credit file like a bank loan, so don't worry

I have one too , will be paying it for ever
  • It shouldn't do, I forgot to mention the Loan when applying for my mortgage and nothing came of it.

Not that I am saying that you should do the same thing, just thought I'd mention it.
