Lloyds TSB Harassment

Supernatural
Hi guys, not sure if this is the right section for this, forgive me if it isn't.
I'm after a little advice for a friend, he took out a loan with Lloyds TSB in 2008 for a car... and about 3 weeks later was made redundant! He tried to claim on the payment protection but they refused to pay out as they stated something about having to wait 90 days before you can claim from it, of course he couldn't pay the £200 a month, he went to the local branch of the bank and offered to pay £50 a month out of his JSA and that was accepted.
However the main point of this post is that they constantly harass him by phone, and letter threatening to take him to court, I have no idea what dept this is but they seem unaware of the money being paid already, he came around mine this morning and has had 3 phone calls already - on a Sunday!! And he's just had a call from his mother saying they have tried ringing there too (he doesn't live there) they ring him about 5 - 7 times a week, surely this isn't on? Is there any place he can complain about this? He's trying to do the best he can to repay but it's getting ridiculous.
Thanks

Hi there
This is the norm Im afraid when you have broken the terms of your original agreement they harrass the hell out of you but there is a template letter on the forum which he can send asking them not call him the letters are normally standard including solicitors even though they have agreed a repayment plan he just has to keep paying what he can afford and tell him they cant have what he has not got0 -

Send them this letter to stop the phone calls. There are follow up letters if they continue to call.
Does he have the agreement for £50 a month in writing?0 -
Thanks for the replies. No he doesn't have it in writing, he apparently has asked for this numerous times but they refuse to do it. I will get him to have a look at the letter and get it sent off, fingers crossed that stops it, but I'm not holding my breath!Strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government0
