Mortgage Application

Hi Guys (and Gals)
Myself and my wife have been told by Halifax we could have a Mortgage of ~£200k, we have been looking at property in the region of £150k to be comfortable and take into account intrest rates going up etc.
Also we desperatly need a new car, the one we have is costing a fortune in repairs etc, I was looking to spend about £7500 and get decent German Diesel which will last a good few years. (we do a lot of miles)
The only way really to finance the car would be a loan . . . . and hence my question . . . how will this be viewed when we find a house and want to apply for a Mortgage? We have no other debts.
Your advice would be greally appreciated,
Cheers.

Adviser at the Cumberland told me to apply for the mortgage first and then apply for the loan once complete as the loan repayments would be considered at the time of mortgage application. Hope this is of some help!0
