missing information on credit report

Hi
ok please bear with me I would of read through the posts but thinking of the case that we are all different I hope this would be a more help aimed at my exact situation...
Currently:
two bank accounts - only one shows on credit report - a current acct.
some of my credit accounts are on the report but some aren't such as the hfc or bos loan I had few years ago which I am still putting payment on...one of them is being dealt with via legitation (sp) dept..
Why would these not show?
Ok also slightly away from my original question...
I have recently added myself to the electoral roll - I have my husbands wages now being paid in to my account in order to take over finances and sort them all out.. what happens if I apply for a loan to consolidate my loans can I state that my husband wages under other income?? As long as I can prove this money is going into my account and the outgoings is there any prejudice against me?? We have no financial association due to trying to clear all debt in our own names.
I probably haven't explained right or given all information needed but trying to make sense of it myself I know what I want to say but don't exactly know how!! ooo eer!

Hi
Reasons why your accounts may not be showing-
Some people have bank accounts which don't allow them to share your information with the credit reference agencies so these sometimes don't appear. This is usually quite old accounts. If you have a current account without an overdraft that would not appear as its not a credit product.
Which credit report have you got? Some creditors will report to just one or 2 of the credit reference agencies so to get a full picture you really need to get your file from experiann, equifax and callcredit.
Finally if you have debts on which you defaulted over 6years ago then after 6years from the date of the original default notice the account would no longer show on your file, but that would not usually mean that you didn't owe the money.
In regard to a loan and your husband's wages then no you should not say they are other income, you could say that they were other household income and were your husband's wages but to omit that information would be fraudulent. I wouldn't risk it.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Hi thanks
got my report from experian...ok that makes sense.. there is one sitting there from november 2004 settled but updated in 2008 and am going to wait til november to see if this is then removed it will be like a christmas present haha!
Yeah I know what you mean about the stating income I wouldn't not state it but you've cleared up alot for me.
Thanks - I was worried about when I would get a reply as it was getting views and no replies!
Maybe by Christmas the electoral roll will be updated with my information too and my credit score will be worth a look in!!
Thanks again!0 -
The electoral roll is slow to update at this time of year. usually its done monthly by the councils (can take 6weeks to appear on your credit file) but from September to Dec the annual check is done so there is no monthly update. But you should appear on the big update which occurs Dec/Jan time.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

I am going to try patiently wait til January and check the status of it all then...as equifax have confirmed in november the bad ugly debt that was six years ago which was settled then will go away and have phoned a company that said I had an inactive account with them to cancel it... I just want to know things are not so black anymore and have a better chance of saving and joint mortgage once mine and husbands debts are cleared... am aiming to be clear and saved (credit union!) by the time we are thirty...or more so him gives us three years .. am the year older and wiser haha!
thanks again for taking the time to read and reply

i recently started a new job for which a credit search was required. before my employer did it i checked my experian, equifax and callcredit credit reports to make sure there were no problems. i noticed that all three held slightly different information. i found a good comparison of the three on: whichcreditreport.co.uk/credit-report-comparison.html
it tells you what information each hold and how to order your free credit reports.
hope this helps!0 -
Hey jmone,
cheers! I had a look at both (callcredit can't find me so my electoral roll must not yet be updated) and none of them say about the hfc agreement...no news could be good news...I am too scared to ask hfc incase they realise it should be...iyswim?0
