Not such a great bargain with today's prices to be honest with you.
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????
  • Nice find

i was looking at this one now i have a dilemma

    always fancied a porche. :rotfl:
  • I bought one of these.... disk failed two times leading to a complete loss of my files. Manufacturer replaced both times no issues

In my experience I'd recommend avoiding due to unreliability

as for porsche design its a grey box with an led light

This Western Digital drive from Amazon for £67.90 looks good and has had loads of good reviews. Although no Firewire.

Ive got a prosche drive, bought it from staple for £75 about 2 months ago and thus far no probs, oddly enuf i bought it to replace a knackered seagate external which gave me nothing but probs.

So i guess ya pays ya money and takes ya choice

HDD's are about the most likely thing to fail in your PC, coz they're pretty much the only mechanical thing in it and they all go eventually. Three or more years out of them is pretty good. In fact in some offices I work in they replace them after three years as a matter of course.

It won't be too far away when HDD's are non-mechanical and more reliable.

after reading the incredible, over 50 negative reviews, it starts to tell you TO NOT BUY IT. The ATMT 300GB is what im going for. seeing as I have seen one negative review against the WDigital 250gb 80% negative in accordance to positives.
