Hi all
Sold our house and just had an offer accepted for a new one. I live with my girlfriend and have had my house for 9 years ( paying mortgage on my own, never missed a payment ).
We are now going to have a fresh start and split all mortgage costs bills etc down the line.
Only thing worrying me is my bank statements for the last 3 months ( which they are likely to want ) look pretty bad as i have been on line gambling.
Ive never been in the red and haven't got an overdraft but on some of the worst days i have put 250 quid into the on line sites.
Most other days are 30 quid with 10 pound at a time.
Would they be likely to refuse us a mortgage based on this?
feeling quite worried as id hate us to lose the house due to my stupid gambling, which i have now stopped!
Thanks

as long as you're showing that you are in credit and not horrendously overdrawn, i can't see that there is a problem.- unless you do have a problem? Do these sites blatently call themselves a gambling site on the bank statement?0

Yes, 1250 on a credit card which was at 3000, ive been paying it off , this will be cleared with equity in the house.

I think i will be ok though, surely what i do with my money is my business, as long as im not overdrawn and badly into debt ( well i hope so! )0 -
i think you'll be ok, if you're in credit, the bank shouldn't really be concerned what you do with your money. They only look to see if you can manage your money.0
