Will closeing CC now effect BC in future?

I have one specific question this time. I recently had an email from CC company saying my interest is going to go up (again) by 5% I can opt out of this by closeing the card and repaying at least the minimum payment. That sounds like a good idea, but will it effect BC or IVA in the future if I close it now?

Wouldn't affect BR or an IVA - it would still be an unsecured debt that would be included.0
