Hey, if you've bought it, and you love it then who cares whether we can find it on the internet or not?!

We're just being nosy and wanting to look at everyone's dresses! :)

I no :( I just find it odd that even the designer doesn't have it on their website!

Like others have said if you've bought it and you love it, then it doesn't matter really.

BUT I went through the same sort of thing with my dress - I fell in love with it and bought it but it had no labels in it and the shop wouldn't tell me the designer, and 6 months later they still haven't (I told them I needed to know the designer because I needed to replace some missing beads etc).

I scoured the internet for hours and hours AND hours (I am NOT exaggerating) and never found it. Then I found a pic of it on one of these Chinese places that does copies of dresses. Someone told me it was a Benjamin Roberts, but I've never been able to confirm it.

If you can't put a name to it - say it is bespoke! That's more impressive I think. And no-one will ever know as long as you keep schtum! ;)
If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.

Trouble is it did have a label in and my receipt says its 5042 Mark Lesley Paradise Range. I'm not bothered about who made it etc I just find it odd that there are no pics anywhere concerning a Mark Lesley dress in the paradise range.

  • Nope none of those franny :( the skirt detail is similar to those dresses but the top and straps r different. It has a bead detail down the centre of my bust in a rectangle shape and then the straps r beaded and there is a halterneck style strap plus 2 to go over my shoulders all starting from the centre of the dress at the top of the rectangle of beads. The bust has that ruched effect like the 5024 but it isn't a sweetheart it just goes straight across. (not a very gd description I no, sorry!)

  • I got my dress last sunday in the local wedding dress shop's annual clearance sale 'no dress over £400!' Mine is Ava by Alan Hannah. I wasn't expecting to get one like this - I really wanted one with straps, but I was blown away by the gorgeousness of the material (very heavy silk) and the fact that the designer used to be a courset maker - its an amazing and beautiful courset and skirt. Wonderful quality courset (sorry can't spell!) with handsewn swaroksi (??) crystals just above the boobs... the lady in the shop claimed she had been selling it at £2000 (there wasnt a ticket on it) and did go and check the original price.. I got it at £400! Bargain! I had really loved Alan Hannah designs from the start, although I had convinced myself I liked one of the Alfred Angelo ones... anyway I am happy! Will try to show a pic... xxx
