Home stretch!!!

Hi All!!

Wanted to share with people who'd understand....

I make my last payment to my last DCA debt on Monday and am sooooo excited to be parting with £550!!!!!! :j

Although I've still got 18 months til the 5 defaults I incurred disappear off of my report :(

Now it's time to tackle my 2 credit cards (have failed to include these in my totals as I was focusing on my DCA debts and both cards are in credit and payed off more than min amount every month on time)!!! These total about £2500 but thanks to my new money attitude thanks to this site, hopefully this wont take long to clear!!!

  • Hi Diana,

Well done on clearing some of your debts. Good luck with the rest.
If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

    well done!!

I had 'my moment' today I paid off my card in full and then rang the debt people gave them my details and they said the magical words 'we will send a confirmation the account has now been closed for you' I was a bit upset that I didn't hear the angels choir but least I'm debt free now!

Congrats qob!! Are you going to do anything to celebrate? Are you debt free completely now?! Thats the feeling I'm looking forward to most!! Even though I've paid all my £10,00 DCA debt, knowing I have £2500 on credit cards is hard!!!

I never let the letters upset me, and I never let the aggressive techniques and words they used get me down either, I just held my head high and thought well I'll be rid of them one day.
