10% off Asda wine - repost

I posted this in another forum and didn't seem to get many readers (8). I think its a great bargain!

Buy 6 bottles of wine at Asda and get 10% off at the till. They don't advertise it anywhere and even the check-out girl did a double-take at the receipt!

I made a search and couldn't find a previous post on this. Apols if its been covered elsewhere.

I think Sainburys do the same deal. Also if you buy 6 bottles you can get a wine carrier (made of strong plastic and with dividers, as opposed to the cardboard 'one use' things) for free, normally 50p or £1 I think.

Tesco do the same don't they? Free cardboard carrier there - I have used it more than once and use them to store wine in although plastic does sound better if it is rigid.

The Sainsburys one is really good quality...made of even tougher plastic than the 'Lifetime' carrier bags and definitely better than the cardboard ones.

Bought 6 bottles yesterday and found that 10% had not been deducted at the till. On enquiry a supervisor explained that the offer had ceased last week.
