Card debts - 'One Debt Solution.co.uk' - bad idea??

Hi, I am new to all this, but my wife is tied into "One Debt Solutions" and currently she is no better off than when she started 6 months ago.
The stress is starting to get to her, she hid the problem from me for several months, and I am concerned reading this post.
I have been trying to contact them this week to discuss the situation, but all I get is an answer phone message stating that "the office is now closed, please leave a message and one of our advisors will get back to you". I get this message all day long, so is there a problem?
I am wondering if perhaps we should cut our loses and contact CCCS or Payplan and start again, what does anyone think?0 -
Yep I would totally cut my losses and get with Payplan or CCCS they are amazing and do not charge you a penny as they are a charity.
xxxLife is too short not to love what you do.0 -
hi everyone, i have been contacted by one debt solution, i have given all my details but not paid anything or given my bank details. i have just read the documents they sent, and think i have made a mistake. should i not complete the form??
a different company called and said to cancel, because they arent even regulated? ANY advice gratefully recieved!0 -
Ash Can you tell me what you have achieved by paying a debt management company that you wouldn't have achieved by using a charity such as CCCS?
No .. I think I know the answer to that...nothing, in fact all you have achieved is lining the pockets of a fee charging company, or as they are known on here vultures.
So please don't try and encourage anyone who is in debt to join you with these vultures picking at the carcess. If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0 -
Although I'm sure One Debt Solutions are fully aware that it's illegal in the UK to masquerade as a customer to post false reviews or message board posts, Ash's post still seems a little suspicious to me...0

Definitely cancel. And then contact a debt charity (assuming you are having difficulties repaying your debts).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
