On My Own with Credit Problems

:( I just wondered if anyone can help?
I am a new single mum with 2 children, i have recently split from my husband (who has remained in the marital home) and i am looking to get a little mortgage for myself.
I am looking at 80k houses with a deposit of 20k, the problem being my credit scoring is awful. I am on a debt management scheme, and am owing approx 4k. Thus banks are avoiding me like the plague!!! i need to know where i can get a mortgage - i have no CCJs, and could now pay off the debt i owe, still leaving me 16k as a deposit. But i can't afford to fill any more mortgage applications off and they be refused as it hitting my credit scoring and making it even worse....
any advice would be much appreciated

You should see a 'Whole of Market' broker. You may have options.
