£9.00 meal deal

Just to warn everybody, Tesco meal deal 2 eat for £9.00 has been suspended. Although its in the same location, shelf and all the components i.e. main, dessert wine, veg. Only difference is its full cost. Just challenged my local Tesco who said the sign had been taken down, wondering how many others missed the sign like me. Is is another way to make money for Tesco????

You should look at what your buying then! If there's no offer sign, there's no offer.

There may have been a problem with the offer at that time. Hence why they took the sign down, thatguy1 is right, No sign no offer! It could may well be back up & running now!

It was on the website at but had gone up to £10 last night, but the two mains glitch was not working.

It's still working in-store, only its £10 not £9, I got 2 mains, a pud and the wine saving £13. Still a good deal!:j

I find it amazing that people have the time to look at every label on everything they buy?? My main complaint was the storage area was exactly the same i.e. wine, main, dessert, sameorder. However i spoke to Tesco yesterday, a £11.00 voucher is being sent to me as an apology. As martin says complain, if you are not happy, result.

I woiuld have bought 1 today but there was no advertising to say it was the meal deal so i didnt bother

I went in Tesco on Thursday and the 'meal deal' section was there but without the signage. When I went back on Friday the signage was there but at £10. I then wondered if the "2 mains" glitch was working... so just came on here to check. Glad it is.

Although the price has gone up the range of main courses seems to have increased in value with quite a few of the mains being £6 normally. I think prior to this week the mains were £5.50 at most and there weren't very many of them. If it wasn't for the glitch the M&S £10 deal beats this hands down as too many of the Tesco meals are 'ready' meal type.

My mum went in today and tried the "2 mains glitch" today and she said it didn't work. She asked for a subtotal when after the checkout woman put it through and it was not £10. I can't vouch for it myself as I wasn't there but the glitch could well be sorted now.
